# Pixel WARs
### A little bit of history
Hey, Earthman!
The development of the Pixel Wars ( before Why Aliens) game was started back in 2019 by the founders of our team.
In 2021 the product was added to Google Play.
In March of the same year, the idea of Hello Pixel (formerly PixelSwap) was born and it was already understood that the day to integrate one product into another would come.
We even made a fun collection of NFT cards ([proof](http://twitter.com/Pixelswapcoin/status/1377390900532277248)) that we'll be sure to give away to all early users and beta testers.

### What is Pixel War?
An arcade game where a user plays for a simple earthling whose planet has been invaded by aliens!
You battles monsters, collect loot, craft futuristic equipment and unlock unique NFT treasures along the way necessary to level up [your profile](/gamification/user-activity.md), create unique tools or recharge your [pixel extractor](/gamification/pixel-extractor.md).
### Why is it important to the ecosystem?
Pixel Wars is a free to play game where everyone can try their luck and fight a boss.

At the moment there are 3 bosses and from each of them with a low chance can drop materials needed to improve your [pixel extractor ](/gamification/pixel-extractor.md)or Power station to energize your Workspace[^1].
These items can only be looted in the Pixel Wars game.
We plan to distribute several hundred of these resources to all active participants of our [Airdrop program](/gamification/user-activity/airdrops.md).
You can either collect NFT resources by playing the game yourself or buy them from other users on our [Marketplace](/products-v2/nft-marketplace.md).
Also, we will allow users to spend their [pixel tokens](/tokenomics/token-pixel.md) to increase inventory capacity, to save the process or to purchase an initial weapon (in the base only Knife) etc.
Thus, we get a great [deflationary tool](/tokenomics/deflation-mechanism.md) for the whole ecosystem with the ability to get valuable rewards!
